SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS:

Fig. S1. Video of RAW 264.7 cell transfected with GFPinternal-PLD1 during the ingestion of IgG-coated 6 µm latex beads. Note that PLD1-vesicles of different sizes rapidly move towards the forming phagosome at phagocytic sites, visible at each end of the cell, and persist around the phagosome after internalization. Time is shown in min:s. Frames were collected every 4 s, and videos are displayed 5 images/s.

Fig. S2. Video of RAW 264.7 cell transfected with pEGFP-PLD2 during the ingestion of IgG-coated 6 µm latex beads. PLD2 is localized at the plasma membrane and visible in pseudopods engulfing a bead at the top of the cell. Fluorescence increases around the phagosome during phagosome formation, but disappears progressively from the phagosomal membrane during internalization. Time is shown in min:s. Frames were collected every 10 s, and videos are displayed 5 images/s.
