Volume 5 issue 11 November 2004
Molecular partitioning during host cell penetration by Toxoplasma gondii
Audra J. Charron and L. David Sibley

Supplemental Movie 1: Passage of both raft and nonraft lipids through the moving junction. Live BHK cells were costained with FAST DiOC18 (green) and DiIC16 (red). T. gondii parasites were then added to dishes, and invasion events were observed using live cell confocal microscopy. Time-lapse images at a single focal plane were collected at 1 sec intervals.

Supplemental Movie 2: Passage of a nonraft cytosolic leaflet protein through the moving junction. T. gondii parasites were added to BHK transfectants expressing S15-GFP, and invasion events were captured immediately at 1 sec intervals by live cell video microscopy.

Supplemental Movie 3: Passage of a raft cytosolic leaflet protein through the moving junction. T. gondii parasites were added to BHK transfectants expressing L10-GFP, and invasion events were captured immediately at 1 sec intervals by live cell video microscopy.

Supplemental Movie 4: Accessibility of a multipass transmembrane raft protein to the PVM. T. gondii parasites were added to BHK transfectants expressing CCR5-GFP, and invasion events were captured immediately at 1 sec intervals by live cell video microscopy.
